The 2nd weekend of September's looking to be a busy one, September 14th alone brings 3 major albums:

I'm excited for all three of those albums, though I predict Linkin Park's to be the best, the lead single, The Catalyst, really grew on me, and if it's a sign of what's to come on the rest of the album, it should be great. Other notable mentions are a new album by The Script and cover albums by both Peter Gabriel and Santana (who will have different guest vocalists for each song) .
